Alex Drofiak is a Lighting Designer of productions invariably of a fantasy or community theme (often both!) or of gigs invariably involving Daniel A. Weiss in or around London.
His favourite part of lighting is the teamwork although this is closely followed by making crazy lighting-related props! His approach to lighting is centred around playfulness and empathy. Being within a moment with a character or with a piece of music and adjusting the surroundings sometimes subtly and sometimes explosively to channel or enhance a situation or mind state to an audience is always a privilege to be a part of.
When not lighting shows or working on an alternate reality 1890s Sheet Music shop, he is often found on the badminton or tennis court or running a Controller Aquarium for Carallon / Pharos Controls / Brompton Technology.
